SETUP
Quickly establish Architectural Environment including drawing scale, Text and Dim. Styles etc., using the New Drawing Setup
dialog shown below.
Load default AIA short-format layers (or your own layer names) from a customizable file.
All ARCHSOFT objects
automatically placed on correct (user-defined) layers.
Most ARCHSOFT commands allow setting or changing of parameters (values) directly
within the command.
STRUCTURAL GRID
Quick set-up of Grid Lines, with automatic incrementing of numbers/letters.
Easy Column (square, round, steel) imputing
– sizes/rotation can be changed while inputting.
WALLS EXTERIOR (3 & 4 LINE)
Draw a 4 line (cavity) wall between columns with 4 picks. (Shown below at left)
Draw 3 or 4 line walls,
show direction first, then input distance for each section. (Shown below at right.) Distance between wall lines can be set as
desired.
WALL HATCHING (Shown above at right)
Various wall-hatching patterns can be drawn part or full length of the wall.
DOORS
Insert doors and wall lines are automatically trimmed. Optional door header lines on a separate layer can be drawn. (See example
on the Home page.)
Large variety of single and double door styles. (See Single Door Icon example below.)
Set (or change) default values
within the door command: Door Size; Frame Width and Thickness or no Frame, frame Setback from wall face, Optional Wall Header, Center
or Side justification.
Flip door swing to opposite hinge point or to other side of wall.
Remove doors and heal wall lines.
WINDOWS (Exterior Windows)
Insert windows and wall lines are automatically trimmed. Optional window header lines on a separate layer
can be drawn.
Any number of equal-size Glass sections, (shown below at left).
Window with Door and any number of equal-size Glass
sections, one or both sides of door.
Build Window - (shown below at right), any number of Glass sections or Doors with varying
sizes for Glass sections, Doors or Frame widths.
Corner Windows (any angle) with same or different number/size of panels on each wall
Curtain wall command draws part or entire perimeter of building.
STAIR SECTIONS
Quickly draw steel (wood) or concrete stair sections, ‘U’ shape or straight run (floor to floor).
Up stair riser, at
floor or intermediate landings, can be located at last stair riser or offset either direction.
Handrails and stringers are trimmed
where appropriate at crossings.
Plus many many more such as:
Elevators, Escalators, Washroom Layouts including toilet stalls, urinal stalls, lavatory counters with automatic layout of basins, Ceiling plan layouts, Tags, Various leaders, Room and Door tags with attributes and with automatic incrementation of numbers, Room and Door Schedules created from the Room and Door tags.
And hundreds of plan and elevation symbols for architectural drawings such as furniture, appliances, washroom accessories, plumbing, electrical lighting and power, fire etc.
